A "Biggest Loser" contest was sponsored by Go Gilbert! Magazine from July to November of 2009. Focus on Fitness competed against Gifford Health Institute of Gilbert. Each facility selected two contestants during a pre-contest casting call that had been advertised in the magazine. A total of five weigh-in and measurement sessions were held.  One at the beginning and then every four weeks for the 4-month duration of the contest. The contestants were photographed and their progress was published monthly in the regular issues of Go Gilbert! Magazine.
As seen in the magazine pages posted here, Tiffany McCann was the winner of the competition, losing 59 lbs. and 60.75 total inches for the contest body measurements. Phyllis Beatty came in 2nd, losing 39 lbs and a total of 49.25 inches. Tiffany and Phyllis were both trained by Brenda at Focus on Fitness for this competition. Between the two of them, they lost 98 lbs and 110 total inches for the contest body measurements. This success validates the Focus on Fitness approach to training, conditioning, and nutrition as an effective and fast way to makeover your body.
